Ultra-smooth legs all summer? Then try these tips

  1. Hot water

Are you a bit late and want to shave your legs quickly? Always choose to wet your skin first with warm water (so no dry skin, because this will cause wounds and bumps more quickly). This way you remove the hairs the fastest because they’re now softer.

2. Exfoliate

Do you have a little more time? Then choose to exfoliate your skin first and thus remove dead skin cells. You can do this with a body scrub for optimal shaving results.

3. Shaving gel

After you’ve exfoliated the skin on your legs, it’s time for the next step. Apply a generous amount of shaving gel. The shaving gel makes shaving easier and also ensures a soft skin.

4. The right razor blade

Whether you’re using a disposable or reusable razor, choose one that works well for your skin and doesn’t cause tightness. If your razor blade does this, it definitely needs to be replaced. Most blades have between 5 and 10 foils. Always rinse your blade after use. Shaving your legs is done against the direction of the hair. Therefore, start at your ankle and then shave from bottom to top.

5. Sunscreen

After shaving, your legs may feel a bit dry. Therefore, choose a nice lotion to rub your legs with. Such a lotion has a moisturising effect and your legs will shine even more. This way you’re completely ready for the summer.
