Tips & Tricks

Are you a real workaholic? Then try these tips

Are you known to both colleagues and friends as a workaholic? Then read these tips to keep your work and private life in balance. Trust me, this is of the utmost importance!

  1. Invest in yourself

Only when you have enough energy, you can perform well. That’s why it’s important to make time for yourself and do things that make you recharge. Whether this is a skin treatment once a month or a short daily walk, put yourself first. This way you’re the best version of yourself both privately and at work.

2. Make a top 3

It’s important to get clear what your priorities are and therefore make a top 3. This way you’ll also be less tempted to say ‘yes’ to everything and thus take on too much. Your actions will then be in sync with what you find important.

3. Finding motivation to slow down

What’s in it for you if you work a little less (hard)? For example, if this would benefit your personal relationships, this is a good motivation to hit the brakes a little more often.

4. Get enough rest

You can handle a lot more if you get enough rest. Is it tempting for a workaholic to work from home for a few hours after an office day? Yes, definitely. Still, instead of going to work, it would be better to spend time with people you love. Real personal contact is very good for your mental health and in the end, of course, it’s much more useful.
