Make your own Christmas wreaths! (Food!)

Do you like Christmas wreaths? Then I have the ideal recipe for you! They’re even tastier when you bake them yourself. So, let’s take a quick look at the recipe!

Ingredients:

  • 100 grams of butter
  • 100 grams of sugar
  • 200 grams of flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1 packet of vanilla-flavoured sugar
  • Pinch of salt
  • Planed almonds
  • Biscuit/cookie cutters

Steps to follow:

  1. Cut the butter into small pieces and put them in a bowl.
  2. Add the flour, sugar, a pinch of salt and half a beaten egg to the bowl.
  3. Knead the ingredients into a large ball of dough.
  4. Wrap the dough in plastic wrapping and let it rest in the fridge for 30 minutes.
  5. Preheat the oven to 150 degrees.
  6. Remove the dough from the fridge and roll out the ball with a rolling pin to a thickness of about 5 mm. Sprinkle flour on the clean counter to prevent the dough from sticking to the surface.
  7. Cut out the dough with a biscuit/cookie cutter and then make a hole in the center with an apple corer.
  8. Cover the baking tray with baking paper and spread the wreaths on the tray.
  9. Brush the wreaths with the rest of the beaten egg.
  10. Sprinkle the wreaths with the planed almonds.
  11. Then bake the wreaths until light brown in about 20 minutes.
