Do you like Christmas wreaths? Then I have the ideal recipe for you! They’re even tastier when you bake them yourself. So, let’s take a quick look at the recipe!
Ingredients:
- 100 grams of butter
- 100 grams of sugar
- 200 grams of flour
- 1 egg
- 1 packet of vanilla-flavoured sugar
- Pinch of salt
- Planed almonds
- Biscuit/cookie cutters

Steps to follow:
- Cut the butter into small pieces and put them in a bowl.
- Add the flour, sugar, a pinch of salt and half a beaten egg to the bowl.
- Knead the ingredients into a large ball of dough.
- Wrap the dough in plastic wrapping and let it rest in the fridge for 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 150 degrees.
- Remove the dough from the fridge and roll out the ball with a rolling pin to a thickness of about 5 mm. Sprinkle flour on the clean counter to prevent the dough from sticking to the surface.
- Cut out the dough with a biscuit/cookie cutter and then make a hole in the center with an apple corer.
- Cover the baking tray with baking paper and spread the wreaths on the tray.
- Brush the wreaths with the rest of the beaten egg.
- Sprinkle the wreaths with the planed almonds.
- Then bake the wreaths until light brown in about 20 minutes.
