Signs that people feel comfortable with you

Do you have the talent to make people feel comfortable with you rather quickly? I certainly seem to have that effect, even though it’s not that often. Anyway, you can recognise this by the following signs!

1. Relaxed body language

Body language often reveals a lot. A relaxed posture indicates that someone feels comfortable with you. Legs and arms aren’t crossed and someone dares to make eye contact with you. Also, someone really listens to you and laughs a lot and sincerely.

2. Conversation goes smoothly

If someone feels comfortable with you, they dare to say anything to you. They don’t think about it too much and the conversation is, therefore, very natural.

3. They dare to be themselves

You can only be sure that someone feels safe if they dare to be themselves. Someone dares to show their (somewhat awkward) dance moves, tell what they find funny and dare to be vulnerable (telling stories about their past, for example).

4. A lot of laughing

If someone really dares to laugh with you, it indicates that they feel safe and relaxed. This doesn’t happen to people you don’t know well or don’t feel completely comfortable with.
