Series I recommend watching: Supernatural

I’ve watched tons of series. On Netflix, television, or on DVD. In any case, I thought it’d be fun to share the series I watch and truly recommend watching. With today: Supernatural!

  • Name of series: Supernatural
  • Seasons: 15
  • Episodes: 327
  • Published date: September 13, 2005 – November 19, 2020
  • Summary IMDB: Two brothers follow their father’s footsteps as hunters, fighting evil supernatural beings of many kinds, including monsters, demons, and gods that roam the earth.
  • Trailer:

I’ve devoured Shadowhunters and Teen Wolf, and nothing less could be said of this series. I know I’m still in season 1, but I’ve already seen many bits and pieces (what else do you expect of a series that has been out for so long, and one that I started watching only two weeks ago?) of this series, and I’m super invested. Actually, I think it’s by far the most invested I’ve ever been in any series I’ve ever watched. I love the brothers Winchester with my entire being, and I love everything about the show. I hate myself for not having decided to watch this way sooner, but rather later than never, right? I’ve heard that a couple of seasons were pretty bad, and a couple of episodes here and there, but I’d like to be the judge of that myself. And honestly, I’m sometimes pretty easy to please when it comes to things I’m a true fan of.

But the things I’ve been watching the most, besides watching an episode a day, are edits made by fans surrounding Dean’s feelings, their brotherly relationship, and Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki as real-life brothers. Now, I admit that I haven’t cried as much as I have in the last weeks ever since I started watching those edits. Firstly, the things Dean goes through are beyond anything I could’ve ever imagined for a character in a series. Again, I haven’t even watched those things, only seen snippets of it, but I already know I’m gonna sob way more watching those scenes in full HD with full context. Secondly, I love the dynamic Sam and Dean have within the series. Dean is the big brother, Sam the younger brother, and goddamn those boys would do anything for each other. It makes me want to have a brother even more. They’re both super cute, though my vote goes to Dean first and foremost because he stole my heart. Sam’s adorable, but you know, he’s not Dean. Hehe. Lastly, or well, thirdly, I’ve been crying non-stop watching videos of Jared and Jensen. They worked together for 15 years, were both in all episodes, and they’ve become real brothers too. They were each other’s groomsmen, their kids go to the same school, their wives are friends, Jensen helped Jared when he was suffering from depression in 2015, and those hugs man, they make me shiver and have goosebumps in a positive way. I’m obsessed with Supernatural right now, but in a good way, because I would’ve gone nuts with all my exams, essays, and presentations I’m stuck in right now. This series has been the reason I keep fighting for my study.
