Tips to save on your gas bill!

Worried about the energy and gas bill? The prices are skyrocketing and most people have entered a term called ‘saving mode.’ You can (easily) save on your gas consumption in the following ways!

  1. Only heat rooms where you are often.
  2. Set the thermostat to 15 degrees an hour before you go to sleep.
  3. Leave the thermostat at 15 degrees when no one is home.
  4. Turn the heating down one degree.
  5. Keep the doors closed to keep the heat in the room.
  6. Close the curtains (in the evening) so that less heat is lost.
  7. Shorten curtains that hang over a radiator and move furniture that’s in front of the heating.
  8. Lower the temperature of your central heating boiler: your house will also heat up at 60 degrees or 50 degrees.
  9. Bathe as little as possible and limit showers to five minutes.
  10. Keep track of your gas consumption to see where you can save even more.
  11. Place radiator foil between radiators and an uninsulated outer wall.
  12. A letterbox brush ensures that less cold enters the house.
  13. Use draft excluders to seal seams and cracks.
  14. You also save money with a water-saving showerhead.
  15. With water-saving nozzles, taps also use less water.
  16. With window film, you can turn single glass into ‘double’ glass.
