Do you often spend a lot of time in your head and find it difficult to let go of your thoughts? I’m the same, and I, therefore, have a bunch of tips for you that I consider useful!
- Actions
Literally, get moving. Go for a walk, run, or put on your favourite music and dance around your house. Maybe you don’t really feel like it, but ask a friend to have a cup of coffee together. This way you’re out of your familiar environment for a while.
2. Senses
You can live more in the moment by using your senses. Are you hiking? Then listen carefully to all the sounds you hear. Also, try to take in what you smell and see. While eating, you can ask yourself what something tastes like.
3. Control
Unfortunately, you have no control over a lot of things. For example, the behaviour of others. So, focus on things you do have control over: your night’s sleep, the things you eat, the way you relax, and the work you do.

4. Talk
By speaking your concerns out loud, they take on a lighter weight. Find someone you feel comfortable with. This can be a friend, family member, or a therapist.
5. Writing
If you don’t feel the need to talk to someone (yet), it can also help to write down your concerns. This way you experience less stress and you manage to process emotions better. Finally, writing also increases productivity.

Door teveel te denken krijg je stress en soms is het dan beter om het nodige af te schrijven of erover te praten. Zoals je aangeeft in je tekst
Zeker weer goede tips voor iemand die teveel in gedachten bezig is.

And it’s even easier when all tips come from someone struggling with it every single day haha

And I still suck at it and would continue to do so because I just can’t turn it off no matter how hard I try
