Do you often suffer from bloating while being on holiday? It ruins your whole mood and may annoy the people you’re travelling with. But I’ve got just the thing to help you out! These tips will help you get rid of it!
- Exercise daily
Often bloating is associated with too little exercise. During a holiday it is, of course, the intention that you rest, but also try to exercise enough to stimulate your digestion. For example, take a daily walk or go for a swim in the sea. You’ll notice that your complaints will decrease quickly.
2. Drink enough
Travelling, especially air travel, can lead to dehydration. Too little fluid can cause bloating. So, make sure you drink enough and always try to have a bottle of water near you. Try to postpone drinking alcohol until you get to your destination.
3. Probiotics supplement
If you often have intestinal problems while on holiday, you could try a probiotic supplement. This supplement contains bacteria that ensure a healthy gut. Since you often eat differently on holiday than you’re used to, a probiotic can certainly help to reduce stomach complaints.

4. Way of eating
On holiday there’s sometimes an abundance of food. Try to make sure that you eat slowly and enjoy it. Eating in a relaxed way will also help your digestion to work better.
5. Choose consciously
On holiday you often eat slightly different dishes than you’re used to. You may want to try new things. You should definitely do this, but try to pay attention to how your body reacts to certain foods. Cruciferous vegetables such as broccoli, cabbage, and cauliflower, in particular, can cause bloating or intestinal distress. Just to be on the safe side, always carry some healthy snacks such as nuts and dried fruit.
