Are you an introvert? This means that you feel more comfortable focusing on your inner thoughts and ideas, rather than what’s happening externally. If that sounds like you, then you’ll also recognise the following!

1. A good listener

An introvert is an active listener. Friends and colleagues can come to you if they’re sad or have experienced something very nice. You ask the right questions and show genuine interest in your conversation partner. An extrovert sometimes starts to tell without having digested everything the other person said.

2. Think before you speak

In general, an introvert would rather listen than talk. When you say something, you’ve thought it through very carefully. You don’t just speak up, which means your statements have a major impact on others.

3. Observing

You’re not only a very good listener, but you’re also an excellent observer. You have an eye for detail. You may say little, but you see and hear everything. You’re a star at reading nonverbal cues.

4. Strong friendships

You don’t allow everyone into your life, but you don’t let go of the people you hold in your heart either. You’d rather have a few close friends you can count on, than a lot of superficial contacts. These people give you energy and make you feel valued.

5. A wonderful partner

You value time and space for yourself. You also provide this for your partner. You’ll never become dependent in a relationship. After a long working day, you offer your partner a listening ear without directly talking about yourself.

6. A good leader

Introverts are good leaders because they don’t want to be in the spotlight themselves. You find the strength of a team more important than highlighting your own qualities. You see the qualities of all your team members and this is very much appreciated.
