Due to me being quite busy, and Jade having time to spare, she wrote another article for me! Today’s article is all about how often you should wash your hair per hair type. So, Jade, thank you and take it away! Note: don’t wash your hair every day. That’s really bad for your hair!
Do you have thick hair? Then your hair gets greasy faster than average. So, wash your hair about three times a week. Does your hair not get greasy quickly, but do you have a specific haircut? Then it’s sufficient if you wash your hair once or twice a week.
2. Thin and straight
Do you have this hair type? Then it’s very visible if your hair is oily, even if you have recently washed your hair. To avoid an oily look, wash your hair every other day. Do you still have oily hair the day after your wash? Postpone washing for a while. Washing your hair every day causes more oil production. And you don’t want that.
Are you blessed with beautiful curls? Wash your hair two or three times a week. The fact that your curls sag after you wash them is due to the oils in the shampoos. This happens when you have thin hair. Therefore, choose shampoos that provide extra volume. The advantage of curly hair is that you don’t see the greasiness as quickly as with other hair styles. Therefore, try to postpone your washing as long as possible.
Has your hair been through a lot in the past few months and/or have you dyed your hair too often? Wash your hair every two to three days. Use a special shampoo for damaged hair and use a nourishing hair mask once a week.
You have a normal hair type if none of the above hair types sound familiar to you. Wash your hair with a shampoo that’s in between oily and dry hair two to three times a week.
