We want to keep our skin healthy. That sounds easy, but looks can be deceiving. No matter how well you take care of your skin, it’s possible that you suffer from acne. Unfortunately, there are plenty of foods that can increase the chance of getting acne.
This one is most often mentioned when it comes to acne. It’s the produced flavours that cause acne, such as strawberries, caramel etc. Those added sugars are the culprits.
Unfortunately, it’s true that cheese can be one reason you have acne. Lactose promotes the growth of acne.
Pizza is full of fat, carbohydrates and cheese. All bad for your skin.
This is mainly about the rice. It contains a lot of glycerine, which causes your blood sugar to rise. That in turn causes the acne.
Have you ever heard that whole grain products are healthier than white products? That’s right! White products contain produced grains. Think white flour, white noodles and white rice. These processed grains cause the insulin level in your blood to rise and the sebum production to increase: thus acne.
6. Fast food
Fast food is full of carbohydrates, refined grains and fat. When you eat fast food, you ingest all those substances. Due to the increase in these substances, your hormones get confused, and you get acne as a result.
7. White rice/white bread/cake
The sugar and carbohydrates in these foods tend to get into your blood really quickly. That means they are high on the glycemic index, a measure of how foods affect blood sugar.
