You have a birthday party to attend and it’s therefore time for a new outfit. But when you arrive at the party, you’re already all sweaty and you have sweat stains under your armpits. Besides that you feel disgusted, and it’s also very annoying to see those sweat stains. Read on for tips that can help you if you sweat a lot!
- Use deodorant
Okay, a deodorant can’t prevent you from sweating at all, but a good deodorant can help you. Use an antiperspirant, which will keep you from sweating so quickly.
2. No synthetic clothing
Synthetic tops and shirts don’t ‘breathe’, so things start to ‘heat up’ very quickly. This makes you warm and then you start to sweat. Wear lots of cotton and linen clothes, which are airy and allow your skin to breathe.
3. Shave armpits
When you sweat, the moisture is retained by your hair. So shave, because then the sweat doesn’t linger and no odors can arise. Fresh sweat doesn’t smell, but old dried sweat does.
By washing yourself often you stay clean and fresh and you wash away all the old sweat. Bacteria and sweat combine to create bad odors, so use an antibacterial shower gel.
5. Don’t think
Did you know that when you think about sweating, you actually start to sweat? So, don’t think about it too much, just push the thought away.
6. Reduce stress
Are you very nervous when you have to give a speech and you literally break out in a sweat just thinking about it? Don’t! Stress makes you nervous and makes you sweat. Try to relax, then you’ll also sweat less.
7. Remove sweat stains
If you have a lot of sweat stains on your clothes, it’s best to soak them in cold water with a stain remover. Then just wash normally.
8. Just in case
If you’re afraid that you’ll get huge sweat stains when it’s hot, it can be a good idea to keep an extra shirt in your bag. Just to be on the safe side.
