Series I recommend watching: Stranger Things

I’ve watched tons of series. On Netflix, television or on DVD. In any case, I thought it’d be fun to share the series I watch and truly recommend watching. With today: Stranger Things.

  • Name of series: Stranger Things
  • Seasons: 3 (season 4 coming soon)
  • Episodes: 25 (8 more coming soon)
  • Published date: July 15, 2016 – present
  • Summary IMDB: When a young boy disappears, his mother, a police chief and his friends must confront terrifying supernatural forces in order to get him back.
  • Trailer:

A friend of mine told me I had to go watch this series, and so I did. Only problem: she had already seen all three seasons and I had to start at the very first episode. So, I sat down and was immediately sold. I’ve always loved horror films and series, and seeing as they describe this one as a ‘horror series’ I of course had to check that. It’s not really horror in my opinion, but that doesn’t mean it’s a very amazing, wonderful series to watch. Even more so because the children acting in it are performing phenomenally in my opinion.

The special effects really draw you into the story, so do the monsters they create. The details they create are phenomenal and you actually don’t even feel you’re watching a series. It feels as if you’re really there experiencing it yourself, even though it’s set in the 80s. That’s another thing by the way: how well they did with the props and clothing, the music and the buildings, literally everything. And the music within the series *chefs kiss*. I literally can’t wait for the fourth season. I’m so invested with the characters, that I can’t handle losing anyone else after losing Bob, Alexei and Billy. I still hope he’s still alive miraculously, but I guess we’ll find out if the fan theories are true.
