Actors

Meet the actor #3

I’m a massive film lover and know lots of actors I love. It doesn’t matter what kind of film or series they play in, I’ll go watch it. Okay, that’s not entirely true, but you get what I mean. Anyway, without further ado: let’s get started!

This month: James McAvoy

James McAvoy, born 21 April, 1979, is a Scottish actor. He made his acting debut as a teen in The Near Room and was mainly seen on television until 2003, when his film career began. His notable television work includes the thriller State of Play and the science fiction miniseries Frank Herbert’s Children of Dune. He has performed in several West End theatre productions and received four nominations for the Laurence Olivier Award for Best Actor. He has also done voice work for animated films.

I discovered him in Band of Brothers and was so gutted that he died in that. After that, I saw him in X-Men: First Class. He’s a pretty amazing actor and I liked his role in all X-Men films so far. I also saw Victor Frankenstein and Glass, and I gotta say I had to get used to his acting in both, but he is a phenomenal actor for sure. And once I figured out he was gonna play Bill in IT Chapter 2, I was happy they casted him for it. I just truly love his Scottish accent. It’s so hot, like oof.

I still need to watch tons of films he appears in as I haven’t seen them all. He has had quite the past, which is why I find it so impressive that he pursued his dreams and even while working at a local bakery, he managed to get his career started. And see where he is now. An amazing example of one who never let his past stand in his way and to achieve his dreams.

My top 5 films/series he starred in:

  1. Band of Brothers

2. IT Chapter 2

3. X-Men: First Class

4. Split

5. Glass

If you know this actor, how did you get to know him? What did you watch of him?

Love, Deem ❤
