The way you eat reveals your personality

Everyone needs to eat (otherwise we wouldn’t last long) and everyone eats in their own way. But, they’re several ‘common’ ways to eat, and scientists connected those ways of eating to personality traits. So, let’s see what your habit of consuming food says about you, shall we?

  1. Slow eater

You truly take your time to enjoy your meal and don’t want to rush to finish. You like to make the most out of every moment in your life. At work, you’re in no hurry to get things done, because you believe a job well done is much better than a job that’s done quickly. In relationships, you live in the present moment. It might make fights more intense, but makes the good times all the more enjoyable. Your lack of having an inner clock may get on other people’s nerves. However, don’t let this change you.

2. Fast eater

You’re someone who gets through a meal as quickly as possible. You often don’t even take the time to chew the food completely. You’re great at getting things done before a deadline. You’re good at multitasking, have a healthy sense of competition and find your brain being ten steps ahead of you at times. In relationships, you often put the needs of others ahead of your own needs. Your considerate nature makes you loveable. Though, rushing through things like meals implies that you don’t take enough time for yourself. Make sure you also keep track of your own needs.

3. The organizer

You’re the type of eater who doesn’t want any foods to touch each other. You want to keep things neat and tidy, avoiding messy situations at all costs. At work, your organizational skills help you to keep track of the tasks at hand, And with those who’ll come your way. At home, you struggle with being the one who always does the dishes and/or the cleaning. Say you strike a compromise, you’re the one who’s perfect to organize a house schedule to share the responsibilities.

4. The adventurer

You’re someone who’s willing to try new and exotic types of food. You’ll never be accused of being boring, seeing as you like to take risks. At work, you’re not afraid to propose a bold new idea and your adventurous spirit makes you someone who’s loved to be friends with. People admire your bravery and seek to be more outgoing like you. Just be careful not to pressure others to be as adventurous as you.

5. The isolationist

You’re the type of person who only eats one type of food at a time. You want to finish one before moving on to the next. You’re a very detail-oriented person, always thinking things through. Most people may not always understand your way of doing things. You’re a very careful person, often gaining your praise at work for your attention to details. Make sure you don’t alienate others by being too rigid about things. Keep your patience and flexibility for relationships.

6. The mixer

You’re the type of person who mixes all types of food together, getting a little of everything in every bite. You’re a strong person who feels capable of taking on a lot. At work you don’t mind taking responsibility. And as an outgoing and friendly person, you have healthy relationships. You aren’t afraid to make time for all the important people in your life. You may sometimes over-commit, so practice prioritization.

You’re the type of person who likes to slurp your soup and chew your food loudly. You have a carefree spirit and you don’t worry about what other people think about you. You have your own ways of handling things, which is a quality that people admire about you. You aren’t afraid to show the world who you are and to let people know what you want. Your straightforwardness and open approach may be off-putting to some, but don’t let anyone talk you into changing.

8. The preparer

You’re the type of person who cuts all the food on your plate into manageable bites, before you start eating. You’re the epitome of a forward-thinker. You’re always considering how one move will lead to another. At work, you’re constantly dreaming big, working hard to move up. In relationships, you like to prepare dates in advance. You’re always on the lookout for a friend with big long-term goals.

9. The picky

You have a lot of very specific requests for your food. When dining out, you have plenty of questions and specifications. You’re someone who thrives when you’re in your comfort zone. You like that warm feeling of being around a loved one. You prefer jobs and takes that you know inside-out. You’re also an inquisitive person as you aren’t afraid to ask questions. You have a real thirst for knowledge.
