Series I recommend watching: Gotham

I’ve watched tons of series. On Netflix, television or on DVD. In any case, I thought it’d be fun to share the series I watch and truly recommend watching. With today: Gotham.

Batman has always been my favourite kind of comics & films as a teenager. I’ve always had a weakness for the villains and considered heroes. Now, I did like James Gordon in the comics and in the Telltale game. That same game is where I also truly loved Alfred and Bruce. But, then I started watching Gotham and holy shit. I love literally every character shown. I’ve got a true soft spot for James Gordon, but also for Harvey Bullock, Oswald Cobblepot, Edward Nygma and Alfred Pennyworth. The series portrays the lives from the ‘villains’ before they turned evil, and the life of commissioner James Gordon who had to start from the bottom to climb up the ladder at the GCPD.

I gotta say, I know that it’s only based on the comics, but they did an outstanding job picking the actors for the characters. Some things however, aren’t correct compared to the comics, which makes me slightly confused at times, but it’s based off, so it’s not the same. But they took such an interesting view on the characters. And honestly, everyone is so badass! For any DC fan (or any Batman fans) I truly recommend watching this series. As long as you aren’t too invested in their origin stories (as I mentioned from the comics). It tells the story of Gotham before Bruce Wayne becomes Batman, mostly through the eyes of James Gordon. Though, most people call him Jim.
