My love for Simple Plan: infinite

I’ve been blogging for almost 6 years now, and I’m sure everyone knows by now that Simple Plan is and will always remain the band I grew up with (ever since I was 5 years old) and got me through some hard times (including school cough cough). Anyway, today I just wanted to write a post dedicated to this band. Including a small recap from their background, their albums numbered from spot 1 to 6 and then my top 5 from each album. So, let’s start!

Background + members

Simple Plan is a pop-punk band from Canada. They got together in 1999 and are still performing. They took a small break between 2013 and early 2015 but came back around August. David left the group for 2 years to battle his depression. He left in May 2017 but returned in June 2019.

What they mean to me?

The world! I mean, I can write an entire paragraph about my love for them but, it’s honestly infinite. I love them with all my heart and have been for the past 18 years. It feels like yesterday when I was 5 years old and I heard their first single I’m Just A Kid on the telly. I’m just very fortunate to live in the same era as them and listen to all their albums the second they come out. I saw them live twice and both nights were the best nights out of them all. The first one of them I saw, was also my first ever concert. And what better way to celebrate your first ever concert with the first band you ever discovered and became a fan of? I can’t think of a better way, to be honest. I’m so lucky to be able to let them guide me and listen to their songs as if there’s no tomorrow. Their lyrics mean the world to me and will for many more years. 18 years and counting ❤

Is there a band or artist in your life that means the world to you?

Love, Deem ❤
