‘Going for a walk’ is way healthier than a heavy workout!

An intensive workout may be the first thing that comes to mind when you’re thinking about a healthy lifestyle. Fun fact: going for a walk is way healthier than a heavy workout! So, for those who don’t like doing pushups or situps: go for a walk and see for yourself! And if you’re not convinced yet, you will be at the end of this article!

1. Healthier for heart and head

I bet you’ve heard multiple people say that ‘going for a walk’ will help you feel better. So, it’s pretty common that people go for a walk whenever they need a break. If you do this every day, it’ll increase your productivity and creativity. Your heart will work much better, which will smoothen your blood flow to your brains. They’ll have more ‘energy’ to work with and will be massively stimulated!

2. Circulatory system

Having a well working circulatory system is key for your ‘defence system.’ Your body contains some important cells, such as the NK-cells. They’ll try to kill the viruses entering your body as quickly as possible. So, if you move, the blood flows faster through your body, which gives those cells a better opportunity to work properly. And, it won’t only help those cells! Your muscles will get more oxygen and other healthy nutrients!

3. Good for your ‘resistance’

If you move 30 minutes a day, it’ll be enough for a healthy and active lifestyle. Though, make sure you won’t exaggerate in the ‘moving around’ part. When you go for an intensive workout, which you normally don’t do, it won’t do much good for your NK-cells. In fact, moving around too intensively will be harmful to your immune system! Going for a 30-minute walk or twice 15 minutes will be enough!

How often do you go for a walk?
