How to make it:

The batter

  1. Preheat your oven on 175 degrees (Celsius)
  2. Mix 125 grams of dairy butter and the granulated sugar in a bowl.
  3. Add the eggs and mix it with the rest of the batter.
  4. Add a pinch of saly and the vanilla extract.
  5. Add the cocoa powder and colouring to the batter.
  6. Mix half of the buttermilk and flour with the batter. As soon as you’ve mixed this together, you can add the rest of the buttermilk and flour.
  7. Put the vinegar and baking powder in a small bowl and add it to the batter afterwards.
  8. Grease the baking tin well and pour the batter into it.
  9. Bake the cake for about 40 minutes.

The topping

  1. Melt 175 grams of chocolate. Make sure to let it cool down.
  2. Mix the other 125 grams of daily butter in a bowl, make sure it’s smooth.
  3. Add the cream cheese and melted chocolate to it and mix it all until a smooth mixture occurs.
  4. Get the cake out of the oven and crumble it while it’s still in the baking tin. Save a few crumbles for the topping.
  5. Add the topping and the MonChou to the cake and mix it all together.
  6. Melt the rest of the chocolate.
  7. Create round balls with the batter and dip them in the melted chocolate.
  8. Use the rest of the cake crumbles or other toppings to finish off your truffles.
  9. Let the chocolate harden before you eat it!
