Your phone is your most valuable possession, meaning you can’t live without it any longer. That’s why it’s smart to take care of your phone. Even more when you want to make sure your phone stays with you for a long time! The following things are things you shouldn’t do when it comes to your phone!
1. Wrong charging
We use our phones all day long, until it tells us that the battery is fully gone. As soon as we see that happen, we run to get our charger. But this is the worst thing you can do! You should always make sure that your phone stays between the 40 and 80 percent of battery. So, don’t charge it overnight. Because it’ll get overheated pretty easily!
2. Full storage on your phone
This is bad news for literally everyone. If your storage is completely full, your phone will slow down in usability. Besides, you’ll lose control over your photos, videos and apps. Make sure you take a critical look at your files and delete the apps that you no longer use. Try to do the same for those superfluous photos and videos. Also, delete old software-updates and your offline music from Spotify.
Sometimes you see a notification on your phone, telling you your phone is either too hot or too cold. After that, it turns black. It’s not helping your phone when you keep it in an environment that’s too hot or too cold. You should therefore keep your phone in your pocket while you walk outside in winter. And when you’re trying to get a tan at the beach, you should place your phone underneath a towel or keep it in your bag. Don’t put it in the sun!
4. ‘Wrong’ charger
Some people want a charger in a happy colour, covered in sparkles. But that’s highly discouraged. You should always buy a charger that belongs to your phone. It might be a bit more expensive, but it’s much wiser! A cheap charger misses a chip that ensures safety. This means that your phone can overcharge, which can result in fire. Don’t settle for less!
5. In your back pocket
We sometimes put our phone in our back pocket. But that isn’t smart to do. Changes are that your phone falls out when you pay a visit to the bathroom. Plus, some people say your phone will radiate wrong radiation to your body. Of course, this hasn’t been officially proven. But why take the risk?
How do you keep your phone safe and sound?
