12 Days of Christmas Blogging Challenge #Day 8

Ik ben door Bright Little Story Lover genomineerd om deze challenge te doen. De challenge is bedacht door Stephj, en omdat het toch een Engelse challenge is, ga ik het ook gedeeltelijk in het Engels doen 🙂

Ik ga met dag 8 beginnen, en dat is: Het delen van een lokale kerst traditie in mijn dorp/stad of land.

So, I’m gonna start with day 8, which is: Share a local Christmas tradition in your town or country.

I know that here in my city/town, aren’t any Christmas traditions. Sometimes there is a local Christmas market, but it isn’t that big. Sometimes we have music, but that’s also not big, just small. 

In my country, which is The Netherlands, we have first and second Christmas day. We eat with our families or with friends, it’s just what you like. We sometimes eat stuffed turkey (I don’t, because I’m vegetarian) or we just eat with a electric grill, it’s called gourmetten in my country. We send each other Christmas cards to wish each other Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year. We set up a Christmas tree and we have a Christmas story, but that’s really familiar. We watch Christmas movies and we sing Christmas songs. We recieve a Christmas box from our bosses and we’re hoping for a white Christmas 🙂

Ik weet dat er in mijn stad/dorp, geen kerst tradities zijn. Soms is er een lokale kerstmarkt, maar die is niet groot. Soms hebben we muziek, maar dat is ook niet groot, eerder klein.

In mijn land, Nederland, hebben we eerste en tweede kerstdag. We eten met onze familie of vrienden, het is maar net wat je zelf wilt. Soms eten we gevulde kalkoen (ik niet, want ik ben vegetariër) of we eten van een elektrische grill, wat wij gourmetten noemen. We zenden kerstkaarten naar elkaar om elkaar fijne feestdagen en een gelukkig nieuwjaar toe te wensen. We zetten een kerstboom op en we hebben een kerstverhaal, maar dat is voor de meesten wel bekend. We kijken naar kerstfilms en we zingen kerstliedjes. We krijgen een kerstpakket van onze bazen en we hopen op een witte kerst 🙂
